Clayton County Counts on IWatch

Student's can use smartphone's at school

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. —
Clayton County Schools are about to get a lot smarter with smartphones. They've bought a smartphone app to help students anonymously tell school police if trouble is brewing.

A funeral was held Tuesday for a Mundy's Mill Middle School student who was slain. Clayton Co. Schools police think if students had this new app on their phones, police might have been able to head it off.

An application developer in Texas put together two trends: Police are hooked up to computers and even when you forbid phones in schools, kids still have them.
