What I’m about to tell you may come as quite a shock because it’s defies the current logic and beliefs of marketing a small business for incoming leads in today’s digital world.
Before I go any further, allow me, the owner/manager of two successful small business marketing agencies, to let the cat-out-of-the-bag.
Most so-called marketing “agencies’ out there are misrepresenting themselves.
In fact, the vast majority are taking full advantage of small business owners like you across the globe.
You see, most “agencies” are no more than overpriced middlemen that bridge the gap between small business owners and the marketing services they so desperately need for survival.
They are usually operated by a single individual working from his or her home and they use VAs (aka virtual assistants) to preform every task from the mundane to those that are critical and require specialists to preform them for the best outcomes.
Many use a combination of VAs and marketing service “resellers” then markup “their” service prices exponentially, like charging $3000 plus for a service they pay $1000 or less for.
The VAs and/or resellers provide the services and monthly reports.
More often, they will “white label” these reports then mail them directly to the client so it appears all the work is being done by the “agency”.
And I can assure you, the vast majority of both agency, VAs and resellers never have the best interest of their clients at heart.
Why?
Because these types of individuals thrive and survive off unsuspecting clients using the churn-and-burn method of revenue generation and live by the philosophy that there are always plenty more fish in the sea.
What a rip-off!
With that being said, these individuals are looking to hit a home run with their clients right out the gate, meaning they’re going to try and sell their clients the higher-priced services they offer, while trying to lock them into ironclad long-term contracts.
Many don’t even offer lower-priced services.
On the flipside, there are agencies like mine.

PPC call-only ads are quick and easy to setup and can be extremely cost effective because the vast majority of the time incoming leads start calling and an immediate ROI is seen.

Let’s say you’re a dentist in LA and you offer emergency dental services, in which call-only ads work best.
Anyway, on any given day they are people who are searching Google and Yahoo for terms and phrases like “emergency root canal LA” or “root canal dentist los angeles” and the like.

So, hypothetically speaking, if it costs you $200 to acquire a client with a LTV (life time value) of $2800, then wouldn’t that initial $200 investment have been worth it?

Call-only ads also work great for lawyers, contractors like plumbers and roofers, other medical professions, towing services, and any other service-based niches where emergencies occur.

So, I’m going to give you a peek inside of what the future holds when it comes to people searching online for services like yours.
Not a lot of people are aware of what I’m about to tell you, which comes straight from the source so it would behoove you to consider what I’m about to tell you.
The future of search is what’s known as VEO or “voice engine optimization”, which means your potential clients will be using Suri etc. to find your services rather than typing keywords and phrases into a search bar.
In fact, it’s already here and those who are able to recognize this and capitalize on it will be on the cutting-edge of lead generation in their niche and locale.
As a result, they can dominate their market and wave goodbye to their competition as they steal the lion’s share of the market from underneath their noses.
In Conclusion
Before starting a call-only PPC ad campaign you must ensure your team is ready to handle the influx of calls that are sure to come.
They must also be ready to handle the volume of new clients coming-in without disrupting the level of service and commitment your current clients expect and deserve.
It will serve you no purpose and you will lose money by acquiring new clients at the cost of your existing ones.
Make sure you have all your ducks in a row before starting a call-only PPC campaign.
